The Box Truck OTR driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a box truck in over-the-road (OTR) deliveries. This role involves transporting goods over long distances while adhering to all safety regulations and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for long-distance freight deliveries
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of cargo
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery activities
- Comply with all federal and state transportation laws
- Secure cargo properly to avoid damage during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
