Duties
- Assist with ordering, requesting, and organizing medical records for clients.
- Answer phone calls from existing and potential clients.
- Prepare and draft demand letters for personal injury clients.
- Assist in setting up claims with insurance companies and preparing letters of representation and preservation of evidence notices.
- Manage case files and document management systems, such as Clio, to ensure accurate filing, organization, and retrieval of case materials.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, demand letters, and correspondence, with attention to detail.
- Assist with client interviews and intake, and facilitate communication between clients and attorneys to efficiently gather case information.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while strictly adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Perform document review, proofreading, and legal writing tasks, including preparing discovery responses on behalf of clients.
- Support attorneys during depositions, hearings, and meetings by preparing necessary documents and taking detailed notes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant. It is a plus if the applicant has familiarity with personal injury matters or other civil litigation support experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
