Clinic Maintenance

The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Worker. The Maintenance performs routine facility support and maintenance activities to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully functional health department. This position responds to facility needs, completes assigned maintenance tasks, follows healthcare safety and hygiene standards, and assists with the upkeep of clinic infrastructure and support systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily facility maintenance, including environmental services, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utilities, and general repairs.
• Perform routine facility inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Help maintain clean, safe, sanitary, and accessible clinic areas.
• Assist with biomedical waste handling and other facility safety requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed for maintenance and facility services.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records, inspections, and other facility documentation.
• Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities.
• Assist with minor renovations, facility improvements, and special projects.
• Respond to facility-related requests from staff and report significant issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in hospitals or medical clinics
• Basic knowledge of biomedical waste handling and safety procedures
• Facilities Management or Safety certification is a plus

Experience:

• Preferred 1-3 years of facilities, building maintenance, or related experience; healthcare or clinical experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, diploma, or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Vendor & Service Support preferred.
