General Office Clerk

Job Overview

We are a growing manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Clerk to handle AR, AP, purchasing, data entry, and basic material testing. You will manage invoices, order materials, and assist our production team by performing routine rubber testing. This role is vital for keeping our financial records accurate, our supply chain stocked, and our product quality at the highest standards. We are looking for a person who wants to make this their place to stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Process AP & AR: Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and issue customer invoices daily using QuickBooks.
• Purchasing & Inventory: Place orders for raw materials, laboratory supplies, and office essentials to maintain inventory levels.
• Rubber Testing: Conduct routine physical testing on rubber batches using laboratory equipment to verify specifications.
• Data Entry: Record testing results, material data, and financial transactions accurately into systems and Excel.
• Track Payments: Review vendor statements and flag discrepancies in raw material costs or shipping fees.
• Quality Documentation: File and maintain digital records of material test certificates and batch logs.
• Cross-Training: Learn and backup other office administrative duties as needed to support our small team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–3 years in bookkeeping, AP/AR, purchasing, or general manufacturing data entry.
• Must have Microsoft Office Experience: 1- 3 years of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility: Strong willingness to cross-train, adapt, and help out in various office roles.
• Software: Proven proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel
• Technical Aptitude: Willingness and ability to learn standard rubber testing procedures and lab equipment.

Hours: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
