Shipping & Receiving Lead

We are seeking an organized Shipping & Receiving Lead to manage our door and window warehouse operations. You will oversee the safe receipt, storage, staging, and dispatch of high-end millwork, glass units, and heavy framing systems. This role requires strong leadership, rigorous quality control to prevent product damage, and precise inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Operations: Supervise warehouse staff, assign daily tasks, and enforce safety protocols for handling heavy, fragile glass and frames.
• Inbound Logistics: Inspect incoming shipments for freight damage, verify piece counts against packing slips, and log items into inventory.
• Quality Assurance: Examine doors, windows, and hardware for manufacturing defects or chips before accepting them into stock.
• Outbound Staging: Coordinate the staging and loading of delivery trucks, ensuring products are secured with proper padding and tie-downs.
• Inventory Control: Conduct routine cycle counts, manage warehouse layout for optimal space utility, and track glass orders in the CRM/ERP system.
• Vendor Coordination: Communicate with freight carriers, manufacturing plants, and dispatchers to resolve delivery delays or discrepancies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of shipping/receiving experience, ideally handling doors, windows, glass, or heavy building materials.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading or supervising a warehouse team.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and handle oversized, awkward loads safely.
