Position Overview
PrideStaff is seeking an organized, bilingual Fleet Coordinator for an immediate opportunity with a growing fleet management and driver support team in San Diego, CA. This position begins as an on-site, part-time role serving as the central point of contact for driver communications, vehicle onboarding, routine maintenance, and compliance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers via WhatsApp, phone, and text to resolve daily operational issues and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Screen and onboard new drivers on-site by verifying credentials, executing rental agreements, collecting security deposits, and conducting thorough vehicle inspections with photos.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs with GM service partners, respond to vehicle breakdowns, and oversee the 4-hour reserve vehicle swap process.
- Track vehicle availability, utilization rates, and rent collections using internal operations software.
- Maintain complete and accurate driver files, commercial insurance documentation, and vehicle registrations for audit readiness.
- Deliver a high level of customer service on-site while balancing multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- 2+ years of experience in fleet operations, rideshare/TNC operations, car rental, dealership service, logistics, or a similar customer-facing operations role.
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Willing and able to drive full-size SUVs for customer handoffs and vehicle swaps.
- Ability to work on-site in San Diego on a part-time schedule, with flexibility to be available on-call.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing internal digital tools and operations management software.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Language skills in Arabic or Farsi.
- Familiarity with the local San Diego professional driver community.
- Working knowledge of TCP regulations, DMV processes, or commercial auto insurance.
