Patient Escort Associate, Team Lead
Job Description
Under the direction of the Regional Supervisor and Onsite Supervisor the Patient Escort Team Lead, supervises the staff and workflow related to patient escort services on assigned shifts. Assures all schedules are maintained, transports coordinated, requests for services answered and staff members dispatched promptly to effectively respond to internal and external customer needs. Responsible for transporting patients, their family members, and disabled visitors in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner to outpatient services throughout the medical facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To
• Oversees daily work activity of all Escort Associates on assigned shift.
• Participates in the corrective action process for staff when necessary.
• Trains and orients staff and assists in educating other departments about the function of the department, when necessary
• Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to customer questions and concerns about Escort Associate services.
• Ensures all equipment is adequately stored and secured at end of assigned shift
• Monitors the timeliness and productivity of departmental work on assigned shift
• Assures that departmental equipment is properly maintained and is in working condition at all times.
• Assists in reviewing and maintaining all departmental policies, procedures, job descriptions, and work performance standards.
• Incorporates RGTS Guiding Principles, Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.
• Complies with all RGTS Policies.
• Complies with behavioral expectations of the department .
• Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
- Actively participates, communicates and engages with valet staff and shuttle drivers to deliver the highest level of service.
- Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
- Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School degree or equivalent
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience: Minimum three years experience in a related environment, including prior supervisor or leadership experience.
