Job Overview
Search Solution Group (SSG) is seeking a Contract Payroll and Recruiting Coordinator to support a growing organization during a temporary leave coverage period. This role will provide hands-on support across payroll administration, recruiting coordination, onboarding, and HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with UKG and recruiting within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or skilled trades environments is highly preferred.
This is a fully onsite contract opportunity based in Harrisburg, NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll cycles for hourly and salaried employees.
- Manage payroll submissions for temporary employees across multiple staffing partners.
- Ensure payroll accuracy by reviewing hours, employee information, and payroll-related documentation.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and general HR-related questions.
- Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, communication with staffing partners, and ATS management.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and required employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support day-to-day HR administrative functions.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
Qualifications
- Prior payroll experience required.
- Experience processing payroll in an HRIS/payroll system; UKG experience strongly preferred.
- Recruiting coordination or full-cycle recruiting experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting for industrial, manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, machine operators, welding, or similar roles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees, candidates, staffing partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work fully onsite Monday-Friday.
Contract Details
- Contract position supporting a temporary HR leave coverage need.
- Fully onsite schedule in Harrisburg, NC.
- Monday-Friday, standard business hours.
- Expected assignment length: approximately 3-4 months.
