About the Role

The Builder oversees the construction of assigned homes, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, homeowners, Sales, and Production to ensure homes are completed with quality workmanship, on schedule, and within established budgets.

The Builder plays a key role in coordinating construction activities, monitoring progress, maintaining quality standards, and helping deliver a positive homeowner experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee construction of assigned homes from start through completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, materials, and construction schedules.
  • Monitor construction progress and address issues that may affect quality, schedule, or cost.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure established construction and quality standards are met.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contracted pricing and scope of work.
  • Monitor construction costs and help ensure homes are completed within established budgets.
  • Review plans, specifications, selections, and other construction information as needed.
  • Coordinate materials and deliveries to support construction schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with subcontractors, suppliers, homeowners, Sales, Production, and other internal partners.
  • Participate in homeowner orientations and walkthroughs and help address construction-related concerns.
  • Ensure homes are complete, clean, and ready for closing and delivery.
  • Maintain organized and safe construction sites and support established community standards.
  • Identify potential issues early and take appropriate action to keep construction moving forward.

  • Ability to work effectively with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to regularly travel between assigned homes, communities, and construction sites.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based in residential construction communities and jobsites. Regular travel between assigned homes, communities, and construction sites is required. The role involves working outdoors and around typical construction-site conditions, including varying weather, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and partially completed structures.
