Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and dependable Production & Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily Sub-Assembly operations while supporting warehouse shipping, receiving, and material handling activities.

Approximately 70% of this position will be focused on Sub-Assembly production operations, including production planning, line supervision, employee management, productivity, quality control, and problem resolution. The remaining 30% will support Shipping & Receiving and general warehouse logistics operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembly or production environments, a good understanding of production processes, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues. This position requires a flexible, self-driven leader who can manage multiple operational areas and take ownership of daily warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities

Sub-Assembly Production – Approximately 70%

  • Supervise and coordinate daily Sub-Assembly line operations to ensure production requirements are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Lead, assign, and monitor assembly line employees to ensure proper staffing and effective utilization of manpower.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production activities based on customer requirements, production schedules, and available manpower.
  • Monitor production output, productivity, attendance, and line performance, and take appropriate action when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Ensure employees follow established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the assembly process and identify, contain, and resolve quality issues.
  • Investigate production and quality problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and guidance to assembly employees regarding work procedures, quality requirements, safety, and productivity.
  • Coordinate material availability for the assembly line and communicate with warehouse personnel to prevent material shortages or production interruptions.
  • Maintain proper production records, work reports, and other required documentation.
  • Respond quickly to unexpected production issues, equipment problems, manpower shortages, material shortages, or quality concerns and take appropriate immediate action.
  • Communicate production status, issues, and improvement activities to the Operation Manager and other appropriate personnel.

Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Logistics – Approximately 30%

  • Conduct daily Shipping & Receiving operations, including loading, unloading, material verification, staging, and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required to support production and warehouse operations.
  • Coordinate movement of raw materials, components, finished goods, and other materials between the warehouse and assembly line.
  • Ensure materials and finished products are properly identified, staged, stored, and handled.
  • Conduct inventory control activities, including inventory verification, cycle counts, and stock organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic warehouse, inventory, material handling, and shipping issues.
  • Assist the Operation Manager with various warehouse and operational activities as needed.

General Operational Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production and warehouse environment.
  • Ensure employees follow company safety policies and applicable workplace requirements.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication between Production, Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving, and Management.
  • Assist with implementing new processes, customer requirements, and operational changes.
  • Support future staffing expansion by helping establish effective work processes, training methods, and team structures.
  • Perform other duties and operational responsibilities as assigned by management.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a warehouse and production environment without air conditioning (A/C).
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, warehouse conditions, and normal manufacturing/warehouse noise.
  • Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and physical activity throughout the shift.
  • Requires frequent operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs, as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics operations.
  • Previous experience working on or supervising a production or assembly line is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of basic production processes, workflow, quality control, and material flow.
  • Previous experience leading or coordinating production/warehouse employees is preferred.
  • Ability to recognize operational problems and respond effectively under changing or unexpected conditions.
  • Forklift operating experience required; forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and other warehouse/material-handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use warehouse or production systems, scanners, production records, and other documentation.
  • Ability to read and follow Work Instructions, SOPs, production schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a small operational team.
  • Flexible and willing to perform hands-on work across Production, Shipping & Receiving, and Warehouse operations.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and accountability for daily operations.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day Shift: Typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Some schedule flexibility may be required based on production and customer requirements.
