JOB DESCRIPTION:
Waterproofing Construction Foreman
Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour
Location: Boca Raton, Florida
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Waterproofing Construction Foreman to supervise and manage field crews performing commercial and/or residential waterproofing, concrete repair, below-grade waterproofing, foundation work, and related construction activities.
The Foreman will be responsible for directing crews, coordinating daily jobsite activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, reading plans and specifications, coordinating materials and equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader with strong waterproofing experience who can effectively manage workers while also performing field work when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead waterproofing and construction crews on active jobsites.
• Plan and coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and job assignments.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and waterproofing details.
• Perform and oversee installation of waterproofing systems.
• Supervise foundation, below-grade, concrete, masonry, and structural waterproofing work.
• Oversee installation of membranes, coatings, sealants, flashing, drainage systems, protection board, and related waterproofing products.
• Perform and supervise crack repair, joint sealing, concrete repair, caulking, injection systems, and water-infiltration repairs.
• Coordinate excavation, surface preparation, demolition, repairs, and restoration work as required.
• Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before waterproofing applications.
• Inspect completed work for proper coverage, adhesion, thickness, detailing, and workmanship.
• Identify leaks, moisture intrusion, drainage problems, and potential waterproofing failures.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, customers, and other trades.
• Maintain daily production and manpower records.
• Track materials and notify management when additional materials or equipment are required.
• Ensure crews maintain productivity and meet project schedules.
• Train, direct, and evaluate crew members.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and jobsite safety meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Operate or supervise the use of construction equipment and tools.
• Assist with estimating manpower, materials, production requirements, and job duration when requested.
• Communicate jobsite issues, delays, safety concerns, change orders, and quality issues to project management.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, general contractors, building owners, and other trades.

Leadership Qualifications
• Minimum 3–5 years of construction experience, preferably with significant waterproofing experience.
• Previous experience supervising construction crews.
• Ability to manage multiple workers and maintain productivity.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications, and product installation instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, general contractors, customers, and other trades.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding construction environments.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work from lifts/scaffolding when required, bend, kneel, lift materials, and perform physical construction work.
• Valid driver's license preferred/required depending on company vehicle requirements.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Additional waterproofing/manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Safety Responsibilities
The Foreman must demonstrate a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be capable of:
• Enforcing OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Conducting daily safety meetings/toolbox talks.
• Identifying jobsite hazards.
• Properly using PPE.
• Maintaining fall protection procedures.
• Following excavation and trenching safety requirements.
• Properly handling chemicals, coatings, solvents, and waterproofing materials.
• Ensuring employees use tools and equipment properly.
• Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately.
