Assistant Teacher

Assistant Teacher:

Centerra Ranch Montessori School is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and develop.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Support children with age-appropriate learning activities and Montessori materials.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Assist with meals, snacks, nap/rest time, diapering, and toileting as needed.
• Encourage positive behavior, independence, and social-emotional development.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and childcare licensing requirements.
• Work as part of a team and assist with classroom transitions and daily responsibilities.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Ability to take the lead in the classroom when the Lead Teacher is absent, ensuring that daily routines, activities, supervision, and classroom procedures continue smoothly and safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Montessori or early childhood education experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.Preferred Qualifications
