Position: Accounts Payable Clerk – Construction

City: Murrieta, CA

Range of Pay: $26.00-$26.45/hour

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00AM - 4:00PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary:
Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable, including processing vendor and subcontractor invoices, job cost coding, invoice matching, payments, reconciliations, and AP support for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts.
• Perform accurate job cost coding and project allocation.
• Process weekly check runs, ACH, and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with Project Managers regarding approvals and job costs.
• Assist with lien waivers, retainage, W-9s, and vendor documentation.
• Support month-end close, AP accruals, reconciliations, and audits.

Job Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a construction environment.
• Experience with full-cycle AP, job costing, invoice matching, and vendor reconciliation.
• Knowledge of subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and retainage preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Sage, Viewpoint/Vista, Procore, QuickBooks, Acumatica, or similar construction accounting software experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
