Do you enjoy working on vehicles and solving mechanical problems? Marathon Staffing is hiring mechanic to help maintain a fleet of public transit vehicles in Greenville, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for automotive or fleet mechanics looking for a stable career with daytime hours. As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll perform preventive maintenance and repairs to help keep transit vehicles operating safely and reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections
• Change fluids, filters, and belts
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, and driveline components
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems
• Assist with engine, cooling, exhaust, and hydraulic repairs
• Respond to roadside service calls as needed
• Complete maintenance records and repair documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work alongside experienced mechanics while expanding your technical skills

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months of automotive, fleet, or mechanical repair experience OR completion of an automotive repair training program
• Valid South Carolina driver's license
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to obtain a CDL (training provided)
