Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to lead, diagnose, and perform advanced service, repair, and installation work on residential and light‑commercial heating and cooling systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and the capability to guide junior technicians when needed. The Senior HVAC Technician will handle complex troubleshooting, ensure high‑quality workmanship, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, including heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, condensers, controls, and refrigeration components.
Lead and oversee HVAC maintenance and repair tasks; provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians.
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and performance evaluations on HVAC equipment.
Install, replace, and commission major HVAC components and complete system configurations.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer documentation.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and material usage logs.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and system performance.
Support energy‑efficiency improvements and system optimization when applicable.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional HVAC experience (senior or lead‑level preferred).
Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and airflow principles.
Ability to mentor junior technicians and lead jobsite workflow.
EPA 608 Certification required; additional HVAC certifications preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Proficiency with HVAC tools, gauges, meters, and control systems.
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
