We’re looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily transportation and ramp-facing operations in support of airline catering services. This role helps ensure flights are catered accurately, trucks depart on schedule, and team members follow customer specifications, quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.

You’ll coordinate closely with the Transportation Manager, kitchen, dock, drivers, leads, and airline representatives to support on-time departures, resolve service changes, and maintain a productive, compliant 24/7 operation.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time and accurate catering of all assigned flights while maintaining customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor compliance with HACCP requirements, ramp safety procedures, transportation SOPs, and company policies.
  • Manage assigned labor, driver schedules, and daily work assignments to maximize productivity and service performance.
  • Coordinate services between the kitchen, dock, drivers, leads, and airline teams to ensure operational readiness.
  • Prepare or review control sheets and assign drivers, trucks, and teams to flights based on operational priorities.
  • Check dock areas to confirm employees have required equipment and trucks depart according to scheduled dock times.
  • Assist with manpower planning, forecasting, and coverage adjustments for changing flight schedules and operational needs.
  • Support teams with late flights, equipment changes, aircraft changes, and other service disruptions.
  • Maintain radio communication with superintendents, meal planners, leads, drivers, and airline contacts throughout the operation.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience required, including scheduling and labor planning.
  • In-flight catering, transportation, logistics, ramp, or high-volume food service experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and communicate effectively with a team of approximately 20–30 employees.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, respond to changing flight schedules, and maintain service accuracy under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to pass TSA and FBI background screening required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Join us in our mission to deliver safe, accurate, and on-time airline catering service while supporting a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous operational improvement. We look forward to your application!
