Medium/Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Technician - Fleet / DOT
Job Description
Automotive Specialists Inc. in Westminster, Colorado is seeking an experienced Medium/Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Technician to join our established automotive and fleet repair operation.
This position is for a technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly, completing quality repairs the first time, and working independently on commercial and fleet equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
• Medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial fleet equipment
• Freightliner 114SD, International 7400, Kenworth, and similar equipment
• DOT inspections and related repairs
• Preventive maintenance, electrical diagnosis, drivability, and mechanical repairs
• A broad mix of commercial and fleet work
WHAT WE NEED
• Experience servicing and repairing medium/heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diesel diagnostic skills
• Ability to independently identify the root cause and complete repairs
• Preventive-maintenance and fleet-service experience
• Commitment to quality workmanship and minimizing comebacks
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Your own basic technician tools
EXPERIENCE THAT MOVES YOU TO THE TOP
These qualifications are highly desirable, but you do not need all of them to apply:
• Class A or Class B CDL
• DOT inspection and repair experience
• Truck-mounted crane repair
• Welding and fabrication
• Freightliner, International, or Kenworth experience
• Railroad or commercial fleet experience
• ASE certifications

COMPENSATION
$45–$55 per hour, depending on experience, diagnostic ability, certifications, and productivity. Higher compensation may be available for exceptional diagnostic ability, advanced certifications, a Class A or B CDL, DOT inspection credentials, crane repair, or welding/fabrication experience.
