Food Production Associate
Job Description
Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking dependable, hardworking Production and Warehouse Technicians for long-term opportunities with an established food manufacturing and distribution operation in North Baton Rouge. These positions support the production, blending, assembly, packaging, shipping, receiving, and material-handling processes for packaged food products and seasonings.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are looking for steady, long-term employment rather than short-term temporary work. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required for every position. Candidates with general labor experience, a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. You do not have to check every box to be considered.
The starting pay is approximately $14.00 per hour. There is room for advancement and growth for employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a commitment to the job. Production-based incentive pay may also be available; additional details will be provided as they are confirmed.
Available schedules may include:
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays.
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–2:30 AM.
Essential Duties:
- Support daily food production, blending, packaging, assembly, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations based on assigned position.
- Operate production equipment and assist with fast-paced production and packaging lines.
- Measure, blend, handle, package, label, stage, and move food products, seasonings, ingredients, and materials according to established procedures.
- Inspect materials, packaging, and finished products to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Pack, label, palletize, and stage finished products for storage or shipment.
- Load, unload, move, and organize raw materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment as trained and authorized.
- Operate a forklift when trained, certified, and assigned
- Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities as needed.
- Complete production, quality, shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately.
- Use basic computer systems when required to enter or retrieve production and warehouse information.
- Follow recipes, production instructions, work orders, quality standards, and established operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with food-production hygiene and sanitation requirements.
- Follow all workplace safety, food safety, quality control, and sanitation procedures.
- Work cooperatively with production and warehouse team members to meet daily productivity and quality goals.
- Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
- Perform additional general labor and production duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
- Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, shipping and receiving, food processing, material handling, or general labor experience is preferred but not required for every position.
- Forklift experience or certification is helpful but not required for consideration.
- Experience with pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production and warehouse equipment preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Ability to maintain production quality while working at an efficient pace.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, sanitation, hygiene, and food-quality requirements.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong understanding of the importance of consistent attendance.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding production environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be interested in a long-term employment opportunity and have a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the operation.
- Must have reliable transportation to the North Baton Rouge work location and be able to consistently report for the assigned shift.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with production, blending, packaging, labeling, and material handling.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stacking, and moving materials as required.
- Ability to work around strong food and spice odors.
- Ability to work in areas where airborne seasoning or ingredient dust may be present.
- Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial food-production environment.
- Ability to safely work around production lines, warehouse equipment, and moving materials.
- Ability to safely navigate floors that may occasionally be dusty or slippery.
- Ability to comply with strict food-production hygiene, sanitation, quality, and safety requirements.
- Ability to maintain productivity and attention to quality while performing repetitive physical tasks.
