Green Hive is looking for a warm, creative, and reliable Early Childhood Teacher to join our small, Reggio-inspired preschool community in Williamsburg.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with young children and understands that teaching two- and three-year-olds is about much more than managing a classroom. Our approach is relationship-based, play-centered, and responsive to children’s interests, curiosity, and development.

What you’ll do:

%CF; Create warm, trusting relationships with children

%CF; Support children through play, exploration, routines, and transitions

%CF; Facilitate open-ended art, sensory, and project-based experiences

%CF; Observe children’s interests and help develop activities from those observations

%CF; Support social-emotional development and co-regulation

%CF; Spend time outdoors with children, including neighborhood walks and playground visits

%CF; Collaborate closely with a small teaching team

%CF; Help maintain a beautiful, organized, and inviting classroom environment

We’re looking for someone who:

%CF; Has experience working with children ages 2, 3 , 4

%CF; Is patient, emotionally attuned, playful, and dependable

%CF; Can confidently support toddlers and preschoolers through big emotions and conflicts

%CF; Is comfortable with an active, hands-on classroom

%CF; Values creativity, curiosity, and respectful communication with children

%CF; Is interested in Reggio Emilia, emergent curriculum, or other child-centered approaches

%CF; Can work collaboratively and communicate openly

Early childhood education coursework or a related degree is a plus, but we also value strong practical experience and the ability to connect meaningfully with young children.

Pay: $21–$25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
