Job Summary

The R&D Business Process Specialist supports global R&D processes by managing specification requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating business needs into IT solutions. The role focuses on specification management, SAP integration, process harmonization, documentation traceability, and ensuring compliance across raw materials, formulas, packaging, manufacturing processes, and finished products within the food and beverage industry.


Responsibilities

i) Lead multiple projects and trains and/or mentors other team members, peers and clients as appropriate on global R&D processes

ii) Investigate & reflect strategic business issues, researching and identifying inventive solutions relevant to R&D business & IT design solutions

iii) Collaborate with stakeholders and lead business harmonization for specification management

iv) Assist with R&D specifications requirements for Foods or Bev; raw material, formulas, manufacturing process, packaging and finished products, in a manner that an SAP out-of-the-box system could be leveraged for inter-company global applicability with minimal modifications

v) Acts as a liaison with internal groups such as Product Development, Documentation System Administration, Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory, Procurement, Analytical Science, and Microbiology to ensure the it meets global requirements for each of them

vi) Understand key aspects of documentation for traceability of finished goods within the food industry in different markets

vii) Translate R&D specifications needs into IT requirements and ensure IT teams deliver system architecture accordingly. Incorporate specs process and systems efficiencies as much as possible

viii) Develop and maintains an understanding of the End to End relationship from ingredients specs to finished products

ix) Maintain the integrity of working documents and is responsible for document security due to sensitive and proprietary information.


Qualifications

i) BS or MS Degree in Food Science or Engineering or relevant scientific degree

ii) Work Experience: 4- 6 years of experience with BS in CPG industry

iii) Ideal candidate will have experience with integrated formula and specification management software system (Product Vision/TeamCenter/SAP preferred).

iv) Advanced proficiency using various Microsoft Office desktop products
