The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable in a fast-paced production environment, and skilled at balancing competing priorities

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules for roll forming lines based on order due dates, machine availability, and tooling changeovers

  • Review incoming sales orders and convert them into accurate production work orders/travelers
  • Verify specifications (gauge, coil width, material grade, profile, length, finish, tolerances) against customer requirements and engineering drawings
  • Track work order status through each stage of production and update the ERP/MRP system accordingly
  • Monitor coil steel and raw material inventory levels against production needs
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of steel coil, fasteners, and packaging materials
  • Reconcile material usage, scrap, and yield against job requirements to control waste
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods
  • Generate and analyze production reports (throughput, on-time delivery, scrap rates, downtime)
  • Support engineering/tooling teams with changeover planning for new profiles or dies

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in production control, scheduling, planning, or a related manufacturing role
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, Epicor, SAP, Global Shop, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to read technical drawings, spec sheets, and bills of material
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other Duties: Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
