Warehouse Worker

Job Description

• Perform frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, bending, stooping, crawling, and twisting throughout the shift.
• Move, arrange, lift, carry, and load storage boxes, bins, totes, files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Manually lift and carry boxes weighing 10–100 lbs. regularly and without assistance.
• Use hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually or using material-handling equipment.
• Safely move materials up and down inclines, stairs, and uneven or concrete surfaces.
• Process incoming and outgoing orders and accurately read box labels.
• Use handheld scanners and proprietary computer systems to track orders and locate boxes.
• Climb and balance on ladders as required.
• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry materials without assistance.
• Read and write English.

Work Schedule

• Schedule: 5 days per week
• Shift Length: 9 hours per day
• Breaks: 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crawling, and twisting.
• Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work safely on uneven surfaces, inclines, stairs, and concrete floors.

Safety Footwear Requirement

• Protective footwear is required.
• Safety footwear must meet ASTM F2413-11 requirements for protective/safety toe cap footwear.
• Footwear must have a slip-resistant rating designated as “Better” or “Best.”
