Mechanical technician

1+ Months

$20/hr (Weekly pay)


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and service of electromechanical packaging and dispensing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related issues and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide training to customer maintenance personnel when required.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to customers and internal teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customer contacts and gather feedback.
  • Review and understand technical diagrams, manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Manage customer problems/incidents through resolution.
  • Complete work orders and service documentation using an iPad or computer.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Manage multiple service projects with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical principles and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using iPads for work orders, email, team meetings, and service documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, research, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to carry and lift tools and parts weighing up to approximately 20 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. up four flights of stairs.
  • May be required to push and pull carts containing equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Position may involve use of a company-owned or leased vehicle.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to work independently and travel to customer/worksite locations as required.

  • May be required to push and pull carts containing equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Position may involve use of a company-owned or leased vehicle.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
