Job Description
For over 50 years, Ocenco has focused its engineering expertise on developing reliable, high-quality safety equipment for hostile and hazardous environments. Ocenco’s escape breathing devices, certified to national and international standards, protect the user from harsh, irrespirable atmospheres during escape to safety.
Ocenco’s escape devices range in duration from fifteen minutes to two hours. The M-20 EEBD series is belt-worn and the world’s smallest self-contained escape device. The M-40 EEBD series is also belt-worn and provides 30 minutes of escape time. The EBA SCSR series is stored at the workplace for escape durations ranging from 90 minutes to 2 hours.

The Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for overseeing supply chain and technical engineering concerns. Coordinate and manage engineering and technical development projects.
- Collaborates with sourcing project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the sourcing project.
- Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
- Recommends and analyzes materials, supplier equipment, and practices used in the project.
- Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of existing and new vendors.
- Supervises progress of development project.
- Compares the actual cost of development project to estimates.
- Collaborates with design group to change plans if problems arise.
- Analyzes supplier equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
- Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
- Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Collaborates with engineers to share problems and solutions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 10%
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or relevant work experience preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in Supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
