Merchandise Coordinator
Job Description
The Merchandise Coordinators are the governors of data. They keep records accurate and are experts in all merchandising systems. They are responsible for overseeing the logistics of getting samples and ensuring smooth execution on store floor and online. They coordinate with vendors on samples, update any in store signage, create kits for selling, and are the gatekeepers of attribution. This is an entry level position into merchandising.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete Inriver requests / New SKU creation
- Support and maintain kit creation for new collections and any additional needs for web optimization
- Ensure all product attributes are updated, maintained, and accurate
- Execute price & retail changes
- Create and update POP and tearsheets
- Set up and maintain special order SKUs and fabrics if applicable per coordinator’s designated category(s)
- Maintain special order fabric handle assortment list if applicable per coordinator’s designated category(s)
- Oversee all logistics in coordinating new and replacement fabric swatch cards for stores if applicable per coordinator’s designated category(s)
- Maintain war room for respective category samples; clean and organize finish panel and fabric swatch library
- Receive and respond to store communication feedback via Jira for tickets related to attribution, pricing, POP, and tearsheets
- Create work front tickets for samples or additional product photography, including all other logistics required in coordinating receipt and setup of samples for buyer review and sell-off.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 1-2 years of work experience in retail merchandising or sales. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word & Excel. Experience in Product Information systems is preferred.
