Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Door & Window Installer to join our field operations team. You will be responsible for installing high-quality windows, entry doors, patio sliders, and custom glass systems in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires exceptional carpentry skills, structural knowledge, and a strong commitment to clean craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Installations: Install residential and commercial windows, exterior/interior doors, and large slider systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Structural Prep: Assess and prepare rough openings, ensuring surfaces are level, plumb, square, and structurally sound.
• Weatherproofing: Apply flashing, wraps, caulking, expanding foam, and weather-stripping to ensure complete water and airtight seals.
• Carpentry & Trim: Measure, cut, and install interior casing, exterior trim, and custom moldings for a seamless finished look.
• Hardware & Function Check: Anchor frames securely and install handles, locks, hinges, and operators to ensure flawless operation.
• Site Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized job site, protect customer property, and safely dispose of old materials and debris.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in window and door installation or professional finish carpentry.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of standard hand and power tools, including brake metal bending, miter saws, and leveling equipment.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders or scaffolding, and stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and correct out-of-plumb framing, rot, or water damage found during tear-outs.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company work trucks.

Preferred Skills

• Certification from manufacturers (e.g., AAMA/FGIA InstallationMasters, Andersen, Marvin).
• Strong communication skills for interacting directly with homeowners and job site superintendents.
• Experience installing specialized systems like bi-fold doors, multi-slide pocket doors, or storefront glass.
