Pay Rate: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for an industrial manufacturing facility in Lakeland, FL. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility and production equipment to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.
This is a hands-on role requiring a well-rounded maintenance background. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience and be comfortable performing mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, basic electrical troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, and routine forklift maintenance.
Candidates should be able to independently identify maintenance issues, determine the appropriate repair, and complete work safely with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Perform routine forklift maintenance, including greasing, inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, fans, belts, bearings, pulleys, and other mechanical components
- Remove and replace fan motors, belts, and related equipment components
- Inspect machinery for wear, damage, leaks, unusual noises, vibration, or other signs of mechanical failure
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Safely work around and troubleshoot 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems
- Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters when diagnosing basic electrical issues
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including addressing leaks, replacing fittings, and troubleshooting facility plumbing issues
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to established maintenance procedures
- Lubricate and grease machinery and equipment as required
- Assist with general building and facility maintenance
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests
- Identify replacement parts and communicate when additional repairs or materials are needed
- Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment issues as required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized condition
- Follow OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and all company safety requirements
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance mechanic experience, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and repair experience
- Working knowledge of 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing electric motors, belts, fans, bearings, and other mechanical components
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment
- Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to complete minor plumbing repairs
- Experience performing basic forklift maintenance and servicing
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, work instructions, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Knowledge of proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and determine appropriate repairs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday first-shift schedule
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with an industrial maintenance position, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and working around industrial equipment. Must be able to safely lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment as required.
