We're seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to lead projects from design through construction, work alongside multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to a variety of commercial, institutional, healthcare, and other complex building projects.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the plumbing and fire protection design for multiple projects.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including equipment sizing and hydraulic analysis.
  • Develop and coordinate Revit models and construction documents.
  • Review designs for quality, code compliance, and technical accuracy before issuance.
  • Coordinate with architects, owners, and engineering disciplines throughout project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall technical execution.
  • Develop practical engineering solutions during planning and design phases.
  • Communicate directly with clients and participate in project meetings.
  • Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with Revit and BIM-based design workflows.
  • Experience performing hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CPD or LEED AP are beneficial but not required.
