Catering Director
Job Description
Position Overview
We're looking for a Catering Director to lead our catering and private events business from lead to execution. This role owns client relationships, proposal development, and event planning — and is compensated with a base salary plus commission on all catering and event sales, rewarding growth of the book of business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for all catering and private event inquiries
- Develop proposals, contracts, and pricing for events of varying size and scope
- Gather client requirements and translate them into detailed production packets for the culinary/production team
- Manage event timelines, staffing needs, and day-of logistics coordination
- Build and grow relationships with corporate clients, venues, and repeat customers
- Drive new business development to grow catering and events revenue
- Track sales pipeline and report on booked/closed business
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality management
- Proven track record of closing sales and managing client relationships
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with catering/event software (e.g., Tripleseat, Caterease) a plus
