We are hiring an experienced Drain & Sewer Sales Technician to serve homeowners throughout DeKalb and the surrounding Northern Illinois communities. You will meet with customers who already need help, evaluate their systems, explain your findings, and provide clear repair or replacement options.

This is not a cold-calling position. You will work with qualified residential opportunities supported by an established home services company, a recognized local reputation, and experienced operational teams.

Our performance-based compensation structure rewards your results, with annual earning potential ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 or more.

What You’ll Do

• Meet with homeowners to understand their drain and sewer concerns
• Inspect residential drain lines, sewer systems, and related equipment
• Identify problems and recommend practical repair, replacement, or upgrade options
• Present solutions involving drain cleaning, sewer repairs, excavation, replacement, and trenchless services when appropriate
• Explain technical findings in language customers can easily understand
• Provide accurate estimates and help homeowners compare available options
• Review pricing, warranties, financing, project expectations, and timelines
• Build trust through honest recommendations and a no-pressure, consultative approach
• Follow up with customers regarding open estimates and upcoming projects
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales notes, and pipeline activity in the CRM
• Coordinate with service technicians, excavation crews, installers, and office personnel
• Ensure every sold project is handed off clearly and completed according to customer expectations
• Meet individual sales, closing-rate, revenue, and customer-satisfaction goals
• Participate in ongoing product, technical, and sales training

What We’re Looking For

• Previous drain and sewer sales experience, ideally within residential home services
• Strong understanding of residential drain, sewer, and underground piping systems
• Experience discussing high-value repair and replacement projects with homeowners
• A proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend the most appropriate solution
• Confident presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
• Strong listening and relationship-building abilities
• Professional communication and a customer-first approach
• Comfortable working within a performance-based compensation structure
• Organized and able to manage appointments, estimates, follow-ups, and documentation
• Experience using CRM, estimating, or field-service software is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
