Shift Hours: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday (2:30PM - 1:00AM)
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responds to assembly line equipment repair calls, by diagnosing equipment problems, and performing the necessary repair.
- Documents equipment qualifications and upgrades made to existing machines, including preventative maintenance performed and parts used, to ensure appropriate documentation of repair history in the MP2 maintenance database.
- Maintains back-up equipment and ensures spare parts are maintained at the required levels, to meet manufacturing equipment needs.
- Assists industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in the operation of equipment.
- Provides equipment development engineers with feedback on equipment issues and offers suggestions for improving equipment uptime.
- Assist in the construction of worktables, providing necessary utilities, and setting up of equipment on manufacturing assembly lines.
- Modifies existing assembly lines or workstations as required to accommodate manufacturing demands. • Mentor less senior employees in work group and offer counsel.
- Plans and organizes non-routine tasks w/approval.
- Initiates or maintains work schedule.
- Establishes priorities of work assignments.
- Solves a wide range of complex problems requiring advanced interpretation of generally defined procedures and practices.
- Selects methods and practices to obtain imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to questions.
- Understands organizational structure and positions of key employees.
- Maintains general knowledge of products/services associated with area and employees involved with specific product lines and services.
Skills Required:
- Applies extensive knowledge of advanced technical concepts and practices, and a complete understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Utilizes/interprets advanced numerical and statistical data and computer software programs to present documentation and analysis and resolve complex problems.
- Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Performs complex technical assignments usually without established procedures.
- Assists in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.
- May determine types of tests or develop preventative maintenance plans.
- Assignments require considerable judgment, initiative, creativity and leadership in troubleshooting, suggesting alternatives, and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement methods.
Education & Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 4 years Related experience
- May also require a license or certification in the area of expertise.
