Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Manufacturing Technician to support automated electronics production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will operate and monitor automated equipment used to assemble printed circuit boards, perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and ensure products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with electronic components and production equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor automated production equipment used in printed circuit board assembly.
- Load and replenish component materials and maintain adequate supplies for production.
- Use automated equipment to splice and replace component reels as needed.
- Monitor equipment operation and product quality, identifying issues and performing basic troubleshooting when necessary.
- Escalate equipment, quality, or production concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Manually place electronic components onto circuit boards when required, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform routine daily and weekly preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Follow established work instructions, procedures, and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and report potential safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues and process improvements.
- Provide feedback and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing, machine operation, electronics assembly, or related experience preferred.
- Previous SMT or printed circuit board assembly experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with small electronic components.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new equipment and processes.
