About the Role:
Dr. Mae Sheikh Ali Endocrine Center in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a skilled and passionate Physician Assistant to join our specialized endocrinology practice. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, and adrenal conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment protocols as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Coordinate care with referring providers, specialists, and ancillary healthcare teams
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
- Active Florida state PA license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Experience in endocrinology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
