Hiring Experienced Apartment Leasing Consultants

Duties:

• Greet prospective residents warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available apartments, highlighting features and amenities to foster interest
• Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, process applications, and maintain accurate data entry records
• Negotiate lease terms, prepare contracts, and explain legal administrative procedures clearly to ensure transparency and compliance with landlord-tenant law
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule property inspections and facilitate property maintenance requests
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries, upselling available units or services to maximize occupancy rates
• Maintain organized filing systems for lease agreements, legal documents, and resident records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance

Experience:

• Proven experience as an apartment leasing consultant or in property management
• Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software for data management and reporting
• Legal administrative experience related to landlord-tenant law, contracts, Fair Housing regulations, and lease negotiations
• Demonstrated success in sales, upselling units or services while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence
• Office experience involving data entry, filing, conflict management, and customer relationship management tools
• Knowledge of property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
