About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated Civil/Site Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build a successful career in civil engineering while working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of land development, site design, and stormwater projects, gaining hands-on experience and technical mentorship.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with site design for residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and municipal development projects.
Support grading, drainage, and stormwater management design in accordance with local and state regulations.
Contribute to utility system design using WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or similar software.
Prepare engineering plans, technical reports, and design calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
Coordinate with permitting agencies, municipalities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using software such as ICPR, HEC-RAS 2D, or StormWise.
Provide GIS mapping and design support using ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Maintain organized project documentation and assist in preparing client deliverables.
Participate in site visits, inspections, and field observations as required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
0-3 years of experience in site design, land development, or stormwater engineering (entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Basic understanding of grading, utility design, stormwater management, and permitting processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification obtained or actively pursuing.
Familiarity with Florida permitting agencies, including water management districts, environmental agencies, or local municipalities.
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as ICPR, HydroCAD, StormWise, or HEC-RAS.
Exposure to ArcGIS or other GIS platforms.
Experience using utility design software such as WaterCAD or SewerCAD.
Interest in sustainable infrastructure, resilient community development, and innovative engineering solutions.
Structured mentorship from licensed Professional Engineers.
