Operator 1, Packaging Operations

Location: Woburn, MA 01801
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Training: 4 weeks, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, then transition to 2nd shift
Pay: $21/hour
Contract: 6 to 12 months

Job Summary

The Operator 1 will perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial medical products, including plant-based hemostatic powder. The role requires careful attention to detail, following procedures and quality specifications, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety and contamination-control requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually inspect, label, and package finished products.
• Package products according to established procedures and quality specifications.
• Inspect packaging components and in-process products for defects.
• Remove defective products and packaging materials.
• Complete manufacturing documentation, batch records, and Device History Records (DHR).
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations for production documentation.
• Participate in safety audits and daily safety discussions.
• Clean packaging stations and processing equipment.
• Follow PPE, gowning, and contamination-control requirements.
• Handle hazardous waste according to procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work effectively as part of a team and meet production requirements.
• Work overtime and maintain flexibility when required.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and documentation.
• Ability to follow procedures and quality specifications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Basic computer/software skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to follow PPE and safety requirements.
• Background check must be successfully completed before starting.

Preferred

• 6+ months of industry/manufacturing experience.
• Previous GMP manufacturing experience.
• Packaging or medical-device manufacturing experience.
