Part-Time Neurologist - Outpatient TBI | Flexible Schedule
Location: Oak Park, IL / Chicago, IL
Job Type: Part-Time, Independent Contractor
Schedule: 1 full day per week or 2 half days per week
Compensation: Starting at $200/hour
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and provide ongoing management of patients.
Evaluate and treat patients with TBI, particularly injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and personal injuries.
Conduct initial consultations and determine appropriate follow-up care based on each patient's needs.
Provide appropriate neurological assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and documentation.
Manage follow-up visits as clinically appropriate.
Complete all required chart notes in the practice's Office Ally EHR within 24 hours of seeing the patient.
Maintain current clinical knowledge and stay up to date with applicable requirements and standards.
Collaborate with the existing medical team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Potential opportunity to provide additional services such as EMG testing in the future for the right provider.
Optional opportunity for remote Operative Neuromonitoring (IONM) for candidates with the appropriate experience and training.
Schedule & Work Environment
Part-time independent contractor position.
Approximately 1 full day per week or 2 half days per week.
Schedule is highly flexible based on the provider's availability.
Specific days and hours can be discussed with the provider.
Provider may work primarily at one location or potentially at either available location depending on their preference and willingness.
No evening, weekend, or after-hours clinical requirements.
Opportunity for the schedule to increase in the future as patient volume grows and based on the provider's interest.
Position can begin as soon as the selected candidate is available.
Patient Volume & Visits
Patient volume is expected to build over time, with the goal of developing a full schedule based on the provider's availability.
The majority of visits will initially consist of new patient consultations, with follow-up visits added as clinically warranted.
Patient volume will vary depending on the provider's scheduling preferences.

Previous Neurologist averaged approximately:
30 minutes for new patient visits
15 minutes for follow-up visits
Exact visit length may be determined by the provider based on clinical needs.
Qualifications
Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist
Active Illinois medical license required at the time of presentation.
DEA registration required.
Minimum 1 year of Neurology experience.
Strong experience with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is required.
Experience treating outpatient TBI patients is particularly important.
Experience with patients involved in: Motor vehicle accidents, Workplace injuries, Personal injury cases, Workers' compensation, Rehabilitation & Medico-legal cases
Strong clinical judgment and neurological evaluation skills.
Ability to independently complete accurate and timely chart documentation.
Strong bedside manner and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader medical team.
