We are looking for a Senior Corporate Tax specialist to join a growing organization in Ankeny, Iowa. This position offers the opportunity to support core tax and accounting operations while contributing to compliance, reporting, and cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of indirect tax requirements, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns while ensuring accurate calculations, timely submissions, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Research tax questions and resolve issues by analyzing requirements, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions.
• Reconcile tax and related general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close activities.
• Oversee state licensing activities, including renewals, registrations, and coordination of required documentation for private agreements.
• Assist with accounting operations by supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entry preparation, and other routine financial tasks.
• Contribute to special projects involving reporting, inventory-related analysis, and process support as business needs evolve.
• Perform accounting research and compile information needed for internal review, audits, and compliance-related requests.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, accounting, or a closely related area.
• Hands-on experience with sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation and research.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax and broader corporate tax compliance principles is preferred.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and complete account or bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple responsibilities.
• CPA certification is preferred.
