Electronic Assembler

Location: Plainview, NY
Pay: $20–$22/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Assembler to join our team in Plainview, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assembling and soldering electronic components, with the ability to read technical diagrams and follow detailed work instructions. This role supports the production of electronic components used in aerospace applications and requires a strong commitment to precision, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components and circuit boards according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.

  • Perform surface mount, through-hole, and hand-soldering of electronic components.

  • Solder and connect wires, terminals, and connectors according to specifications.

  • Prepare work areas, equipment, and required components based on production schedules.

  • Perform inspections and functional testing of completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and automated assembly equipment as required.

  • Document production totals, completed work, test results, and any errors or defects.

  • Follow ESD procedures, safety protocols, and applicable industry regulations.

  • Work with Quality Control and Engineering teams to identify and resolve assembly issues.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly maintain equipment.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.

  • Previous electronic assembly experience required; aerospace experience preferred.

  • Strong soldering experience, including surface mount, through-hole, and hand-soldering techniques.

  • Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, equipment manuals, and detailed work instructions.

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions in English and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • U.S. Person status as defined under ITAR (22 CFR Section 120.15), including U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, is required due to access to export-controlled technology.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
