Job Description
The Quality Administrator provides essential administrative and documentation support to the Quality team, ensuring that all quality records, inspection logs, and defect data are accurately captured, maintained, and audited. This role supports Quality Control Inspectors and Quality Management by managing enterprise databases, organizing non-conformance documentation, and helping maintain a robust quality control framework within a manufacturing and aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain quality records, inspection logs, and defect data in enterprise database systems such as SAP and JIRA.
- Compile, log, and track Quality Notifications (QNs), defect sheets, and photo documentation related to non-conforming parts or processes.
- Perform regular documentation audits to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established quality standards.
- Support Quality Control Inspectors by organizing and providing necessary documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Maintain orderly records management systems to ensure quick retrieval and secure storage of quality-related documentation.
- Assist with data management and reporting activities to support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing teams to clarify documentation needs and ensure proper flow of quality information.
- Provide general administrative support to the Quality department, including data entry, document preparation, and communication with internal stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative, data entry, or document control roles.
- Proven experience managing data and documentation in a structured, quality-controlled environment.
- Strong proficiency with Windows PC and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using database tools and enterprise systems, with SAP or JIRA strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or other quality-controlled environments is highly preferred.
- Associate’s degree or relevant administrative certifications are considered a plus.
- Experience in quality control, data management, and documentation quality assurance.
- Familiarity with records management systems and audit processes.
- Ability to handle non-conformance documentation, including defect tracking and photo records.
- Comfort working with SAP ERP and JIRA for quality records and notifications.
- Administrative support experience within technical or production settings.

Work Environment
The role is primarily based in a shop-floor environment, closely connected to active assembly and hangar areas. You will regularly move through production spaces to deliver documentation and collect records from inspectors, while also spending significant time in an office setting performing data entry and administrative tasks. The position involves standard office physical demands, including sitting, typing, and occasional light lifting of files or binders up to 20 pounds. The environment combines structured office work with direct interaction in operational areas, requiring awareness of industrial surroundings and adherence to onsite safety practices.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
