Assistant Production Supervisor
Job Description
Join our team as an Assistant Production Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, oversee staff, and collaborate with various departments to achieve production targets.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with employee safety and hygiene regulations.
- Exercise functional and disciplinary responsibility for assigned employees.
- Plan department and line staffing to align with production schedules and business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Warehouse to solve daily problems.
- Deliver on production targets across safety, quality, and efficiency, and identify any gaps to plan.
- Ensure strong adherence to critical processes to meet customer requirements and production targets.
- Support staffing of the department through interviews and planning with the HR department.
- Oversee training and development of shift leads, machine operators, and supporting functions.
- Monitor production with a focus on process engineering and process improvement.
- Support the maintenance department regarding notification of technical defects and spare parts orders.
- Execute end-of-order requirements, including handling material deviations.
- Collaborate with the Quality department in implementing quality policies and targets.
- Implement and utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards.
- Establish and maintain an employee relations climate of trust and confidence, promoting achievement of plant objectives.
- Adapt to varying shift assignments based on operational needs, including potential night, weekend, or holiday work.
- Provide 24/7 on-call availability to support operations as needed.
- 3-5 years of relevant beverage production or manufacturing production experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with business management systems (SAP).
- 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in the beverage industry or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in production, supervision, and production management.
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety protocols.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large, modern beverage manufacturing facility equipped with state-of-the-art operations. Our environment is family and work-life balance oriented. This position involves exposure to occupational hazards such as high noise levels and physical obstacles. Employees must wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, and a high-visibility vest or reflective straps. Physical requirements include talking, hearing, reading, reaching, lifting, standing, walking, and visual acuity.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
