Location: Mossville, IL – Onsite
Pay Rate: $32/hr
Duration: 24 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (flexible)


About the Role:
This role will support Caterpillar’s procurement team with purchasing activities, supplier management, RFQs, quote analysis, negotiations, and project execution. You’ll work closely with procurement, engineering, supply chain, and business teams while supporting new product introduction projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support RFQ issuance and tracking
  • Analyze supplier quotes and pricing
  • Support supplier negotiations
  • Track cost, quality, and delivery metrics
  • Manage supplier transaction disputes
  • Support procurement projects and process improvements
  • Initially support senior buyers with project activities, with the opportunity to lead projects independently as you grow into the role


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related functions
  • Strong data analytics and business acumen
  • Experience with fact-based negotiation
  • Strong project execution skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
