Are you an experienced payroll, HRIS, or HR project professional who enjoys turning complex processes into smarter, more efficient solutions? Our client is seeking a hands-on professional to lead an exciting payroll/HRIS implementation project with the goal of launching a new system by January 1.
This is a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on how an organization manages payroll, HR processes, technology, and employee data.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with leadership to define business requirements and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
- Research and evaluate payroll/HRIS solutions and help recommend the best fit.
- Lead the implementation process from system selection through launch.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, vendors, configuration, testing, training, and implementation activities.
- Help build out and optimize HR functionality within the new system.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate duplicate work and maximize the organization's technology investment.
- Support additional HR projects as needed, including benefits, performance management, policies/procedures, and employee onboarding.

• At least 2 years of experience in payroll systems, HRIS implementation, HR technology, or related project-based HR work.• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and deadlines within a structured project environment.
• Experience translating business process needs into practical system configurations or technology-focused solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with leadership, team members, and external vendors.
• Hands-on knowledge of HRIS functions, system analysis, and implementation support activities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain focus in a fast-moving project setting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
