QC Lab Technician

Description:
Seeking a Contract QC Lab Technician to support the onboarding of a new product line.
This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, documenting results accurately, identifying and escalating out-of-specification findings, and supporting overall lab operations in a safe and compliant manner.
Participate in all job-related and safety-related training as required; ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with applicable procedures and standards
Visually inspect samples for defects
Utilize common laboratory equipment, such as pipettes, to conduct QC assays in a laboratory environment
Perform testing of products to ensure specifications are met and quality standards are maintained
Efficiently perform testing and data entry into digital platforms using a computer
Issue defect notifications for out-of-specification results
Support technical writing activities, including assay validations and change control documentation
Assist with the development, review, and execution of validation protocols and test cases
Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Lab Supervisor
This position involves laboratory-based work and requires adherence to safety practices, quality standards, and established testing procedures.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory or related experience, OR
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related life sciences discipline
Ability to work on-site five days a week, eight hours a day
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to learn new computer software systems
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and perform required tests
Strong technical writing skills
Experience operating a pH meter, analytical balance, and UV spectrophotometer
Experience in aseptic techniques and microbiological testing, including bioburden testing, direct inoculation, membrane filtration, and related methodologies
Experience in instrument validation, including development of validation protocols, test cases, and execution
1-2 years of medical device experience
Experience with the Instron instrument is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years of related laboratory experience is required.
Experience in micro pipetting, pH meter, analytical balance, and UV spectrometer.
