We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join a high-volume payroll team supporting a large workforce within the entertainment industry in New York, New York. This contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage payroll processes for a diverse employee population that includes hourly, salaried, union, and non-union staff. The role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to contribute to payroll operations for both corporate and venue-based employees while partnering closely with HR and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population across multiple business groups, ensuring timely and accurate pay distribution.
• Review and validate payroll data for hourly and salaried employees, including union and non-union worker classifications.
• Audit timekeeping records, earnings codes, deductions, and other payroll inputs prior to each payroll cycle.
• Support biweekly payroll activities by resolving discrepancies, researching issues, and coordinating corrections as needed.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll requirements and applicable wage and hour regulations.
• Partner with HR, payroll team members, and internal departments to address employee payroll questions and ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and record maintenance to support internal controls and operational accuracy.
• Contribute to payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system-related tasks as assigned by leadership.• At least 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll for large employee populations.
• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and familiarity with Oracle-based payroll environments is preferred.
• Ability to support payroll for a workforce that includes hourly, salaried, union, and non-union employees.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines, especially during payroll processing periods.
• Proficiency in reviewing payroll data, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues efficiently.
