Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to provide part-time support for a six-week Contract assignment in Rancho Dominguez, California. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on accounting setting with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and timely processing. The selected candidate will assist with invoice handling, accounts payable activities, and administrative accounting tasks while helping the team maintain smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities:
• Enter invoice information accurately into the company’s accounting records and maintain consistent documentation.
• Assist with day-to-day accounts payable activities to support timely and accurate payment processing.
• Review purchasing and receiving documentation to complete three-way matching before invoices are approved.
• Manage a weekly invoice workload and help ensure processing deadlines are met.
• Organize, file, and retain paper invoices and related records after transactions have been completed.
• Provide general clerical and accounting assistance to support the finance team as needed.
• Work within a manual, paper-based process and quickly adapt to established internal procedures.
• Help support payment preparation schedules, with availability early in the week preferred to meet check processing timelines.

• Experience in accounts payable, accounting support, invoice processing, or a related administrative role.

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a manual, document-heavy environment.

• Familiarity with three-way matching and invoice verification processes.

• Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred.

• Basic understanding of accounts receivable and general accounting functions is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
