Assemblers are responsible for assembling components, operating machinery, and supporting production processes to meet daily output and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, hand & power tool experience, ability to read a tape measure, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble components and operate machinery to support production processes.
  • Follow standardized work instructions to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, including torque tools and measuring tools, for assembly tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and test equipment for mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and torque tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly line production processes.
  • AWS D.1.1 weld certification required.
  • Basic computer usage knowledge required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Vocational training is desired.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing/production setting that is fast-paced and performance-driven. The environment is not climate-controlled. Dress code includes plain-colored t-shirts (blue or gray preferred), jeans, and steel-toe boots. The position is for the 1st Shift, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime expectations before shifts and some Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DALEVILLE, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
