Accounts Payable Manager
We are seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to lead day-to-day accounts payable operations during a transitional period. This hands-on role requires a strong leader who can maintain workflow continuity, support staff, improve processes, and oversee ERP administration while ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a hands-on AP leader who can step in with minimal training, keep operations running smoothly, drive process improvements, and leave behind well-documented procedures for long-term success.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to lead day-to-day accounts payable operations during a transitional period. This hands-on role requires a strong leader who can maintain workflow continuity, support staff, improve processes, and oversee ERP administration while ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment runs (ACH, checks, and wire transfers).
- Lead and support the AP team to ensure deadlines and vendor commitments are met.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and payment issues.
- Document AP processes and create clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate current workflows and recommend process improvements, efficiencies, and stronger internal controls.
- Administer Accounts Payable functions within Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- Reconcile wire transfers and investigate discrepancies.
- Review and validate vendor master data changes to ensure accuracy and fraud prevention.
- Support month-end close activities, accruals, reporting, and audit requests.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, 1099 compliance, and sales/use tax requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required.
- Experience managing wire transfers and vendor reconciliations.
- Knowledge of internal controls, vendor management, and fraud prevention best practices.
- Proven ability to document processes and create SOPs.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and quickly adapt in a fast-paced interim environment.
