Robert Half is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join a reputable law firm in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience and a strong background in managing legal documentation and trial preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with dedicated attorneys to make a meaningful impact on behalf of the firm's clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain legal files to ensure all records are accurate and easily accessible.
  • Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including the execution and management of necessary documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to address inquiries and provide updates, while also coordinating with experts as needed.
  • Assist with general legal support tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to legal standards.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence through both electronic and paper-based communication channels.
  • Initiate and monitor the progress of medical records requests to support ongoing cases.
  • Review, analyze, and organize large volumes of medical and legal records for litigation purposes.
  • Ensure all medical documents are updated, accurate, and meet necessary requirements for legal proceedings.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on medical malpractice cases.
  • Proven expertise in litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and case management.
  • Proficiency with case management software and other legal technology tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage large volumes of documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with handling medical records and understanding medical terminology.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting attorneys and contributing to case success.
