Contract – 12 months contract (possibility to go perm)
Pay Rate – $40 USD hourly on W2
Shift: 1st Shift 06:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating manufacturing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to quality and operational objectives. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Global Teams to drive new product introductions (NPI), capacity expansion, automation initiatives, process improvements, and manufacturing readiness activities. The Manufacturing Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for project execution and ensures successful delivery of manufacturing programs. Based on similar internal manufacturing program and NPI responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Lead manufacturing projects from planning through execution and closure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Manufacturing & Operations:
- Coordinate new product introductions and manufacturing transfers.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness, including tooling, equipment, documentation, staffing, and training.
- Support production ramp-ups and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Lead process improvement and operational excellence projects.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, and Global Business Teams.
- Act as the liaison between plant operations and corporate/global stakeholders.
- Facilitate project review meetings and communicate project status to leadership.
- Risk & Quality Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor KPI achievement related to cost, quality, delivery, and productivity.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and automation initiatives.
- Support digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 projects.
- Promote best practices and standardization across manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of manufacturing experience.
- 3–5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing NPI, automation, facility expansion, process improvement, or manufacturing transformation projects.
- Experience working with global and cross-functional teams.
